Nesse domingo dia 11 de dezembro, aconteceu a premiação dos críticos e jornalistas especializados nos Estados Unidos e Canadá para valorizar os melhores trabalhos durante o ano.
A apresentação da premiação ficou por conta de T.J Miller que está no filme Deadpool e em cartaz nos cinemas com o filme “A Última Ressaca do Ano”. É o segundo ano desse ator irreverente apresentando a premiação.
A premiação estrou um premio novo, See Her onde a primeira homenageada foi a atriz Viola Davis que saiu de lá com a homenagem e uma vitória por seu papel em Fences de Denzel Washington. Em seu discurso a atriz falou como passou a valorizar quem é de verdade como pessoa e como isso contribui para o seu trabalho.
O prêmio foi entregue por Amy Addams que concorreu com seu personagem no filme “A Chegada” de Dennis Villeneuave. A atriz fez um belo discurso sobre a nova categoria de premiação que logo em seguida foi exibido um video sobre a carreira de Viola Davis.
